Water Conditions

Water color: natural
Water level: rising
Water temperature: ranged between 28–30ºC

Weather Conditions

Temperature: 34ºC
Rain, sun, partially overcast

Fishing Conditions

Flies that worked the best: Streamers were most effective, especially streamers with black and red heads, white and red heads, brown and white and all white bellies. 


Total number of fish landed this week:

Arapaima: 67
Arowana: 32
Tambaqui: 4

Biggest fish landed this week: 

Arapaima: 2.24m and weighing over 280 pounds
Arowana: 75cm
Tambaqui: 65cm

Notable Catches:

Matt Harris, Jamie, Stephan, and Ben all caught fish above 2.00m. This was a remarkable week at Pirarucu, as all clients had opportunities for some of the biggest fish of their lives!
