Travel to Brazil
There are many travel options to consider when flying to Manaus International Airport. There are daily flights non-stop from Miami, Panama, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo to Manaus.
Plan to travel to Miami by Saturday, to connect with the flight to Manaus (MAO Airport). We suggest you arrange your flight to Miami to arrive with plenty of time to make the connecting flight to Manaus. If you are flying from the USA, there are two nonstop daily flights from Miami (AA and TAM airlines). One departs Miami early in morning and arrives in Manaus in the early afternoon; the other flight departs Miami in the late afternoon and arrives in Manaus in the late evening. Once you arrive in Manaus International Airport, our host will be waiting for you for immediate transfer to the pleasant boutique hotel located in a very nice part of the town.
Visa
Citizens travelling with passports from Australia, Canada and the United States visiting Brazil for tourism and business will be subject to visa requirements for entry into Brazilian territory starting from January 10th, 2024. These citizens can require e-Visas through the portal https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/. The process is easy, and quick and if the requirements mentioned below are met, in a few days the applicant will receive the e-Visa on his or her e-mail
Considerations:
1) Country code: you can check it here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_country_calling_codes
2) OTP (one-time password): it is an automatically generated numeric or alphanumeric string of characters that authenticates a user for a single transaction or login session.
An OTP is more secure than a static password, especially a user-created password, which can be weak and/or reused across multiple accounts.
3) Passport-style photo (2” x 2”, white background) Please check out this tutorial: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/photos.html
Also make certain your passport does not expire within 6 months of your trip.
Vaccine
A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is recommended to enter any Indian Territory in Brazil but is no longer required.
Insurances
We strongly recommend securing insurance that covers medical contingencies while abroad and cancel for any reason travel insurance.
Baggage
Please do not bring unnecessary weight to the camp. You will be able to leave items not needed in camp with the hotel concierge in Manaus if you are returning to the hotel at the end of the week. We recommend this for travelling clothes, etc. The camp has daily laundry service, so bringing a lot of clothing is not necessary. Make sure to have your luggage under the Azul Airlines weight limitations - 50lbs. Please avoid HARD BODY LUGGAGE.
